Most attendance calculators only tell you where you stand today. That's the less useful half of the question — what you actually want to know is what happens by the end of term.
Your college judges you on the whole semester. So if your course has 60 classes and needs 75%, you must attend 45 of them. Everything else follows from that: subtract what you've already attended, and what's left is how many you still owe. The rest are yours to skip. That's the number shown above as how many more you can miss.
It also means there is a point where 75% stops being reachable — when the classes left simply can't lift your total high enough. We say so directly rather than showing a comfortable-looking percentage that hides it.
Common questions
How many classes can I miss with 75% attendance?
It depends on how many classes your semester has in total, not just how many you've missed so far. With 60 classes in a semester, 75% means attending 45 — so you can miss 15 across the whole term. The calculator above works out how many of those you have left based on what you've already attended.
How do I calculate my attendance percentage?
Divide the classes you attended by the classes actually held, then multiply by 100. If you attended 32 of 45 held classes, that's 32 ÷ 45 × 100 = 71%. Note that this is your percentage today — your final percentage depends on the classes still to come.
Do cancelled classes count against my attendance?
No. A class the college cancelled never happened, so it shouldn't count for or against you — it just makes the semester shorter. Counting it would punish you for your college's decision.
Can I still reach 75% if I've missed a lot?
Sometimes the maths simply no longer allows it — if the classes remaining aren't enough to lift your total above the line, no amount of perfect attendance from here will fix it. The calculator tells you plainly when that's the case, because finding out in week 14 is far worse than finding out now.
What happens if I fall below the attendance requirement?
That's set by your own college, not by us — commonly it means being barred from sitting the exam, a fine, or needing a medical certificate or condonation. Check your student handbook, and talk to your department early rather than after the deadline.
